Who is Mrs. Axley?

    The first thing most people know as soon as they walk in her classroom is
that she is a die hard Bulldog fan, but she does love other team fans as well.  She
understands that sometimes people can be a little "misguided".  Her collection of
Bulldog memorabilia has been added to by her generous students over her
nineteen years of teaching.  She graduated from the University of Georgia with a
degree in Elementary Education.  Mrs. Axley has taught second grade, Title I.
for at risk kids, fourth grade, and fifth grade.  She earned her gifted certification
in 2004, completed her master's degree in integrating technology in the
curriculum in the fall of 2007, and is currently earning her education specialist
degree.  Mrs. Axley loves teaching and loves being with her students each day.  
"They are the best part of the job!" she exclaims. "I learn from them everyday, and
they keep me young at heart."  
    Mrs. Axley has been happily married for twenty-one years to Bill Axley.  
They live in Lawrenceville, Georgia with two children who keep them busy and
active.  They have a son who began high school this year in the ninth grade and a
daughter in middle school in the seventh grade. Spending time with her family
gives her the greatest joy.  
  Besides her human family, Mrs. Axley has her pet family as well.  She tends to
treat them just like her children. Mrs. Axley has a dog named Zoe, cat named
Boo, and a bunny named Buttons.  She admits that she might be accused of
spoiling them, but they are certainly the best pets by far-except for yours, of
course.
